I always do like a menagerie. For those that are closest to me, they know that I have a particular fondness for the Avian kind, the birds...most specifically the Corvids.

Now, I never go seeking for the Corvids aka Ravens and Crows, they find me. They always tell me that it's the sparkle and shine that attracts them to me. I suppose that when you play in the shadows of humanity, some things just begin to glow a little more brightly to those that have also...been there.

I'll never not be curious about the ways that people (or their animal selves) find me. Maybe it's the blog posts, maybe it's the website, maybe it's that very particular flavor of shine that just shimmers across the room or the garden or the gathering or the venue or the dungeon...or, or, or...perhaps it's just fate. I think the Corvids would agree. Some things just make sense in a way that only instinct and gut will confirm.

Currently I am lucky enough to house two animals, a Crow and a Puppy. I post often about my Puppy, who so graciously allows me to not only photograph him, but share him publicly for both my pleasure and his own simultaneously. My Crow has been around (albeit off and on) for the last six and a half years, a joke that we often cite as par for the course in any Bird based relationship. I call his time away (only on my explicit request mind you) a migration. He just took it upon himself to inform me..."Crows don't migrate" to which I responded, "Only upon the Master's request."

This post is about wondering which creature will be added to my menagerie on a more regular basis next? I do have a sweet baby bear in New York City that comes to see me here and there, but do Sissies count as animals? I suppose it depends on the Sissy. insert evil grin here.

Birds of a feather flock together and I'm always excited to meet more Corvids in the world. They are a special breed of bird or human...if you relate, you know what I'm speaking of. I firmly believe that due to my Norwegian blood, the Corvids are particularly drawn to me. They feel it in the way my voice echoes when I call them and in the way my strength demands respect. Corvids are incredibly intelligent, loyal, collectors of intricate and magical things and hang on to family nests until they inevitably pass as most creatures do.

I suppose that's why I like them...they do make very good Submissives...even if they are a bit noisy.
