Education, Training, Mentorship...A Lost Art or Lost in Translation?

Good morning readers,
As I am working on sharing more of my personal thoughts here, especially around education. (not just the spicy stories...which are LOVELY by the way) I am caught in some surprising and dare I say non-consensual binds that are part society, part culture and part crisis. Education is my primary Kink modality and in that being the case, the existential quandry today is...BDSM Education.
In order to learn and grow as a practitioner, there are two schools of thought. Seek mentorship in person or seek mentorship online. I have done and am currently doing both within the state of Utah as well as online through Zoom platforms. I ALWAYS prefer in person because there is just something untouchable about being with people in REAL time and space that changes the nature of the field. In older esoteric schools, you HAD to be present (literally) in order to receive the teachings appropriately. The physical body was key. Similar to online images...there is nothing like flesh, like museums, like real books and the smell of old pages and leather. Nothing. I am fortunate that the majority of my training has been in person and I will tell you, the price tag of those flights was enormous.
This leads me to the next: The second secondary school of thought is free or compensated training.
What is occurring now is that many of those people new to this believe that the access should simply be granted, most of the time for free. My dear ones, nothing is for free in this world. Nothing.
As the saying goes, time is money and that is still true within BDSM training, education and mentorship. If you are lucky enough to find a mentor who decides to take you on without compensation, count yourself incredibly fortunate. There are BDSM training programs that are taught by older individuals in the COMMUNITY who pass down the knowledge. These are community programs, NOT professional training programs. This passing down of knowledge within community is often uncompensated (or at least it was). Things are changing because they have to and in the world of PROFESSIONAL domination you get what you pay for.
I will reiterate....
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
If you want the actual experience of submission within a professional context, not just a 'slap and tickle' as one of my mentors says, then you must invest in someone who is also invested in their growth, training and time.
Time. Is. Money.
Therefore, do your research. If a practitioner is not open about where they were trained or their time in the BUSINESS, maybe you should be wary of that. BDSM is a HOT topic right now and many people want to experience it, but not everyone is qualified, ethical, educated or even cares to be so. This is dangerous work. Physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, psychologically, spiritually...the list goes on. There is being secretive for the sake of safety and then there is being secretive in the service of omission because maybe...just maybe...they aren't what they appear to be or who they say they are. And maybe...they are ONLY here for the money.
I LOVE MONEY! But I also love being the best at what I do. I'm here for training, education, growth and discipline of both myself and of the community in which I stand and the submissives whom I train. This work is work and has a long lineage behind it of humans who have invested themselves into the hardest work of all...Dominating themselves. Once you've done that, there is no use hiding your credentials, you won't have to...often your presence will speak for itself and you won't have to do much to incur trust from others either online OR in person.
All of this to say, if you are indeed interested in being trained by me, know that it is difficult, requires discipline, sacrifice, time, effort and yes...absolutely MONEY. I have a Masters in Education, EXTENSIVE BDSM training and was raised country...discipline is my forte and anyone seeking guidance of this kind will certainly benefit from my years of dedication in both Academia, BDSM (see my education/training page) and life. I do not just use these words here to peak interest or tickle pickles or stimulate the happy slappy folk who have no interest in real transformative work...I will leave you to others who you may find more suitable. Remember...as you are looking to booking...especially in this world.
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
