Today is a MOST blessed day! As I continue my journey and allow all you readers, voyeurs, curious clients, non-clients and associates into the deeper workings of my mind, I am reminded that today is that very auspicious day of Spoops and Sexy Shenanigans that seems just what the good doctor ordered. The blessed day of Samhain.
Let me explain.
I work with many different kinds of clients in various capacities. Sometimes they want to learn how to be a very attractive and well fashioned sissy, sometimes they want to be tied down in custom rope designed and hand crafted by yours truly. At other times they desire a disparaging painful excursion into the land of pleasure and at others, a simple and dignified handling at the altar of the Goddess. I aim to please.
Today I was reminded at how intimate the workings of the mind are. How being turned on and excited feels so akin to being afraid that sometimes we confuse one for the other or believe they are the same. I was sought out by a mental health professional (I am connected to quite a few who align with my perspective and gifts, especially in regards to Mormonism). I've been working with a client who has extensive fear around relationships and kink and yet...somehow can't help but be turned on by the very thing they fear the most. I understand. The confusion can be overwhelming, but because of my work in Burlesque, Drag and somatic based practices, I can guide my clients into reconnecting their minds and bodies together into a cohesive unit.
I suppose it's almost like Frankenstein's monster in a way. To begin reconnecting our brain to our body, we must first understand the depth of the disconnection. This disconnection is often rooted in fear, but that fear can be turned on and turned into a turn on or an experience of excitement if handled in a safe and conscious way. What I'm beyond elated to share today is that I am continuing my education with the Evolutionary Dominatrix Academy run by Damiana Chi, Ph.D. With my acceptance into this Academy, I will be guided into a deeper psychological dive on the connection between the brain, BDSM, somatic based practices and more...so again.
